Pocas svojho pobytu v Ríme sa sv.Brigita Svedska zlakla istej situácie a modlila sa k Bohu o pomoc a poznanie . Chcela vediet, či má odist z Ríma do bezpečia. Ježiš ju ubezpečil: " Nezáleži na tom, či pripravuju tvoju smrt. MOJA MOC PELOMI ZLOBU NEPRIATEĽOV. Ked mna ukrižovali, bolo to preto, že som to dovolil. " A Matka Božia potom dodala:

" SPIEVAJ v skupine AVE MARIS STELLA a J

A TA OCHRANIM OD KAZDEHO NEBEZPECENSTVA."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Zdravas’, hviezda morská,

jasná rajská brána,
slávna Matka Božia,
pritom večne Panna.

Prijmúc ono „Ave“,
čo ti anjel spieva,
vráť nám milosť a zmeň
v opak meno Eva.

Trestancom sním putá,
slepcom zažni svetlo,
odvráť zlo, by dušu
vždy len dobro stretlo.

Ukáž sa sťa matka,
aby skrze teba
ujal sa nás ten, čo
pre nás zišiel z neba.

Prevyšuješ všetky
a máš srdce vľúdne;
očisť naše, nech je
pokorné a cudné.

Pomôž nám žiť čisto,
k nebu kráčať isto,
kde nás radosť spojí
s Kristom, veď sme svoji.

Nech sa večne vzdáva
Otcu, Synu sláva,
aj Duchu buď chvála
rovná, neskonalá. Amen

Ave Maris Stella

Ave Maris Stella is a popular liturgical hymn of unknown origin. It can be dated back to at least the 9th century for it is preserved in the Codex Sangallensis, a 9th century manuscript now in the Swiss Monastery of St. Gallen. Its appearance in the Codex points to a composition possibly in the 8th century. The hymn is frequently attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153) and sometimes has been attributed to King Robert (1031), both of whom are too late to have authored it. It has also been attributed to Venantius Fortunatus (d 609) and Paul the Deacon (d 787). It is found in ancient codices of the Divine Office for Vespers on Marian feasts. Today it is still in use in the Divine Office and in the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin

Promises to those who sing the Ave Maris Stella (Scroll down for Text)
During a riot at Rome, a mob came to the house where St. Bridget lived; a leader talked of burning Bridget alive. She prayed to Our Blessed Lord to know if she should flee to safety and He assured her to stay, saying: "It doesn't matter if they plot thy death. My power will break the malice of thy enemies: If mine crucified me, it is because I permitted it." The Blessed Virgin added:
"Sing as a group the Ave Maris Stella and I will guard you from every danger."

Hail Star of the Sea

Hail, thou Star of ocean,
Portal of the sky !
Ever Virgin Mother
Of the Lord most high !

Oh ! by Gabriel's Ave,
Uttered long ago,
Eva's name reversing,
Stablish peace below.

Break the captive's fetters ;
Light on blindness pour ;
All our ills expelling,
Every bliss implore.

Show thyself a Mother ;
Offer Him our sighs,
Who for us Incarnate
Did not thee despise.

Virgin of all virgins !
To thy shelter take us :
Gentlest of the gentle !
Chaste and gentle make us.

Still, as on we journey,
Help our weak endeavor ;
Till with thee and Jesus
We rejoice forever.

Through the highest heaven,
To the Almighty Three,
Father, Son, and Spirit,
One same glory be.  Amen.

Meerstern, sei gegrüßet,

Gottes hohe Mutter,

allzeit reine Jungfrau,

selig Tor zum Himmel!

Du nahmst an das AVE

aus des Engels Munde.

Wend den Namen EVA,

bring uns Gottes Frieden.

Lös der Schuldner Ketten,

mach die Blinden sehend,

allem Übel wehre,

jeglich Gut erwirke.

Zeige dich als Mutter,

denn dich wird erhören,

der auf sich genommen,

hier dein Sohn zu werden.

Jungfrau ohnegleichen,

Gütige vor allen,

uns, die wir erlöst sind,

mach auch rein und gütig.

Gib ein lautres Leben,

sicher uns geleite,

daß wir einst in Freuden

Jesus mit dir schauen.

Lob sei Gott dem Vater,

Christ, dem Höchsten, Ehre

und dem Heilgen Geiste:

dreifach eine Preisung.

Amen

Ave, Stern der Meere,

Gottesmutter, hehre,

Ave hieß die Kunde

aus des Engels Munde,

Evas Namen wende,

Lös das Band der Sünden

spende Licht den Blinden,

allem Bösen wehre,

alles Gut begehre.

Dich als Mutter zeige,

daß dem Flehn sich neige,

der für uns geboren,

deinen Schoß erkoren.

Jungfrau, auserkoren,

mild und rein geboren,

uns von Schuld befreie,

Keuschheit uns verleihe.

Gib ein reines Leben,

mach den Weg uns eben,

daß in Himmelshöhen

froh wir Jesus sehen.

Gott auf seinem Throne

und dem höchsten Sohne

und dem Geist - den Dreien

Preis und Lob wir weihen. Amen
