 One of the ways in honoring the Child Jesus is the Chaplet dedicated to the Child Jesus. Numerous shrines in the world from Prague, Arenzano and other propagated this chaplet for centuries and many graces were attributed to it. What is unique to this chaplet is that it is the Child Jesus himself who taught this chaplet to the world through one of the daughters of the Great St. Teresa of Avila.

Sister Marguerite received the inspiration in 1636.

It consists of a rosary of fifteen grains.

In the first three, we say an Our Father in honor of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Of the following twelve one recites a Hail Mary while meditating on the mysteries of the Childhood of Jesus:

 1. the Incarnation,

2. the stay of the Word in the womb of Mary,

3. the Nativity, his home in the stable,

4. his Circumcision,

5. Epiphany,

6.the Presentation at the Temple,

7. the flight into Egypt,

8. the return from Egypt,

9. the hidden life in Nazareth,

10.his travels with Joseph and Mary,

12. his stay at the Temple among the doctors.

As Marguerite affirmed in her pure and confident faith:

The Holy Infant Jesus has more care of our souls and our needs than we would have ourselves.

The origins

Venerable Marguerite of the Blessed Sacrament, a Discalced Carmelite from France, was receiving visions and inspirations from the Child Jesus when she entered the Carmelite Order. One of them she received in 1636 the devotion to the Child Jesus by means of a chaplet honoring the first twelve years of His life on earth.

Sister Marguerite is also known with the visions of the “Little King of Grace” of Beaune, France.

The Divine Infant revealed to His faithful servant how pleasing to Him is this holy practice; He promised her that He would grant special graces, above all purity of heart and innocence, to all who carried the chaplet on their person and recited it in honor of the mysteries of His holy infancy. As a sign of His approval, He showed her these chaplets shining with a supernatural light.

 Divine Infant Jesus, I adore Thy Cross and I accept all the cross Thou wilt be pleased to send me. Adorable Trinity, I offer Thee for the glory of Thy Holy Name of God, all the adorations of the Sacred Heart of the Holy Infant Jesus.

2. On the first three beads, say “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.” followed by an “Our Father.”

3. On the twelve beads, say, “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.” followed by the “Hail Mary” while reflecting on the childhood of the Infant Jesus.

4. At the end of the chaplet pray, “Holy Infant Jesus, bless and protect us.”
